Antoine Winfield will consider returning to the NFL if he finds "the right situation."

Winfield was released by the Seattle Seahawks before the start of the current season.

Winfield's most likely scenario would be a return to the Minnesota Vikings.

"Antoine definitely appreciates coach (Leslie Frazier), and some of his best friends in life play on that team right now," agent Ashanti Webb told Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press two weeks ago. "He was there for basically a decade, so Minnesota will always hold a special place in his heart. But I haven't heard anything substantive from them to bring back to Antoine."

The Seattle Seahawks signed Caylin Hauptmann from the practice squad of the Cleveland Browns to help the offensive line replace Russell Okung.

Okung will be out at least two months.

Hauptmann played at Florida International and was playing guard for the Browns.

The Seahawks have moved Paul McQuistan from guard to tackle to fill in for Okung.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released Peyton Hillis.

Hillis did not play in the first two games of the season with the Buccaneers.

Brian Leonard and Mike James are backing up Doug Martin at running back for the Buccaneers.

Willis McGahee will sign with the Cleveland Browns pending a physical.

The Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday.

McGahee spent last season with the Denver Broncos.

Kenny Britt was benched in Week 2 for ill-timed penalties and a lackadaisical approach to blocking.

Britt wrote on Twitter that it is likely his final season with the Tennessee Titans.

"Looks like the Titans pullin that Jared Cook card," wrote Britt. "Looking like this the last year ill be sayin #TitanUp .. So lets make it a Great year."

"I'd love to be involved as much as they want me to be, as much as I've been in the past. But as the game rolls out, I am there when they need me," Britt said. "I am not the coordinator and I am not the quarterback -- they decide where the ball goes. I am still ready to go. It is a long season and we have a lot of games to go."

Fans of the Jacksonville Jaguars will hold a rally of the parking lot at Everbank Field at 3:16 PM to encourage the franchise to sign Tim Tebow.

The time is of significance due to Tebow's religious beliefs.

The Jaguars are 0-2 after losing on Sunday to the Raiders.

Tebow was released by the New England Patriots before the start of the season.

The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed Clinton McDonald.

McDonald was initially acquired by the Seahawks via trade with the Cincinnati Bengals before the 2011 season. McDonald was released in the cutdown to 53 when his salary of $1.323 million would have been guaranteed.

The Seahawks have been searching for depth on their defensive line.

The New England Patriots deny pursuing Brandon Lloyd.

Lloyd reportedly is "neither physically nor mentally ready" to play football this season.

A report earlier this week indicated that the Patriots, New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers had reached out to Lloyd.

"If anything," Greg Bedard explained, "they called him to set up their emergency list like they do at every position to see who might be available should the worst happen."

Tim Tebow has been training in Los Angeles on the USC campus after being cut by the New England Patriots.

Tebow has received interest from at least one NFL team, but under the condition he change positions.

Brandon Lloyd has received inquiries about returning to the NFL from at least six teams, but he is not physically or mentally ready to resume his playing career.

Lloyd has received interest from the New England Patriots, New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers.

Lloyd would be entitled to at least a minimum salary of $940,000 to play.
